“PEOPLE”, just being there quietly, watching us gently and making us feel peaceful.
“SILENCE”, meticulously engraved to emerge dreamy colors. Two series by
Takeyoshi Mitsui set a tone of calmness in space.
春寒の折、日中の日差し、春の訪れを感じるこの頃、皆さま如何おすごしで

STYLE MEETS PEOPLE東京ミッドタウン店は16年目の春を迎えました。
今年で7回目を迎えるガラス作家 光井威善個展を開催します。
宙吹きガラスで１点１点ハンドメイドで仕上げた２つの作風、
“PEOPLE” と“SILENCE”シリーズを展示販売いたします。
”PEOPLE” 静かに佇み、やさしく見守ってくれるような心癒される存在。
”SILENCE” 繊細に刻まれたガラスは幻想的な色彩を帯びる。
表面の繊細な磨きの技。シルエット、色彩が美しい陰影を描きます。
「静かに佇む(ボトル)PEOPLE。彼らを作っていると不思議と心が落ち着きます。
見る人にもこの不思議な安らぎを感じて欲しいです。
“SILENCE”は多彩な色使いの中にも、静謐なモノクロームのような緊張感が共存するように、
様々な色の組み合わせや形のパターンから、自分の手や色の好みにしっくりとくる
大切な一点に出会えたらと思います。」

ART MEETS PEOPLE vol.054 is featuring one of young talented glass artists, Takeyoshi Mitsui‘s
signature glass works of “people ”and “silence” series.
“The bottle people are standing silently.Forming them makes me have a peaceful mind .I don’t know why.
I hope to share this feeling with the viewer. As for creating “ silence” glasses, Sense of tension coexists even in the use of variety of colors as serene monochrome sets. I hope you will find precious one with which you feel comfortable in your hands and to your eyes among various combinations in colors and forms.”
