本展は、デンマークの美術史家、現代日本版画コレクターのマリーヌ・ワグナーさんの収集作品からキューレーション。世代を超えた日本の版画作家に焦点を当て展示販売します。
ギャラリー空間には版画コレクションに加え、マリーヌさんがセレクトした民芸品、古美術、レトロなオブジェが並びます。日本とデンマークの美意識が織りなすアートとデザインの融合空間 "Collector's Room"にて、版画を鑑賞するくつろぎの時間をお過ごしください。
本展は、マリーヌさんが近刊予定の著書『Modern Japanese Printmakers: New Waves and Eruptions』（プレステル出版）のプレビュー展でもあります。同書は20～21世紀の日本人作家43名の生涯・作風・技法に迫り、古典的な浮世絵を超えた日本の版画における新たな潮流を探ります。

[Malene Wagner/マリーヌ・ワグナーについて]
デンマークのコペンハーゲン生まれのマリーヌは、2歳の時に家族と共に初めて日本を訪れた。幼少期から日本の版画を収集しています。現在はパリを拠点とし、2014年より自身のアートコンサルティング会社「Tiger Tanuki」（@tigertanuki_japaneseart）を運営。パリのシャペルIXV、ミラノのMUDEC、コペンハーゲンの国立美術館など、美術館やギャラリーと協働し企画展等を行っています。「和楽誌」への定期寄稿に加え、キンフォーク、アーク・ジャーナル、ゲシュタルテン刊『スティルネス』、イェール大学出版局刊『北欧諸国におけるジャパノマニア』にも執筆。著書『 Modern Japanese Printmakers: New Waves and Eruptions/現代日本の版画家たち：新たな潮流と爆発的展開』（プレステル出版）は2025年11月11日発売予定。
The Collector’s Room: Modern Japanese Hanga

Curated by Danish Art Historian and collector Malene Wagner, the exhibition focuses on the work of selected Japanese printmakers across generations, including Saitō Kiyoshi (1907-1997), Ay-O (1931-), Funasaka Yoshisuke (1939-) and Shiomi Nana (1956-).
The exhibition is a preview of Malene’s forthcoming book Modern Japanese Printmakers: New Waves and Eruptions (Prestel Publishing) that delves into the lives, styles and techniques of 43 Japanese artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, looking beyond the classic ukiyo-e and into the new waves of Japanese printmaking.
Accompanying the print collection, a selection of personal objects, books and furniture, inviting the visitor into the informal and cosy space of ‘the collector’s room’, where art meets design across Japanese and Danish aesthetics.

About the curator:
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Malene first visited Japan with her family at two-years-old. Since childhood she has been collecting Japanese prints. She is now based in Paris and runs her own art consultancy, Tiger Tanuki (@tigertanuki_japaneseart) since 2014, working with museums and galleries such as Chapelle IXV (Paris), MUDEC (Milan) and Statens Museum for Kunst (Copenhagen). She is a regular contributor to Waraku Magazine and has written for Kinfolk, Ark Journal, as well as Stillness (Gestalten) and Japanomania in the Nordic Countries (Yale University Press). Her book Modern Japanese Printmakers: New Waves and Eruptions (Prestel Publishing) is out on 11 November 2025.
